Common commands and workflows for developing Sutras.

Quick Commands

Using just (Recommended)

just --list        # Show all commands
just format        # Format code
just lint          # Lint code
just fix           # Auto-fix linting issues
just check         # Type check
just test          # Run tests
just test-cov      # Tests with coverage
just pre-commit    # Run all checks
just build         # Build package

Manual Commands (uv run)

All just commands can also be run manually with uv run.

Running Tests

uv run pytest                                    # All tests
uv run pytest --cov=sutras --cov-report=html     # With coverage
uv run pytest tests/test_skill.py                # Specific file
uv run pytest -v                                 # Verbose

Code Quality

uv run ruff format src/                 # Format
uv run ruff check src/                  # Lint
uv run ruff check --fix src/            # Auto-fix

Testing the CLI

uv run sutras --help

Building

Always run all checks before submitting a PR:
