Generative scenes
Scenes that never repeat
Each scene is a small set of rules fed by one random generator. Nothing is scripted and nothing loops, so no two runs play the same way.
Scenes
-
Pixel City
A pixel-art night city seen from a rooftop. Traffic, a metro, a cat on the ledge, pigeons, weather, flickering windows and neon.
-
Half Court
One-on-one under the floodlights, in streetwear inspired by the Night City logo. Real ball physics off the rim and glass, crossovers, blocks, steals, streetball rules and a cat that wanders by.
-
Rain Window
Slow rain on a window at night, in front of a city out of focus. Drops land, join their neighbours and run down the glass, leaving clear trails while cars and windows glow behind.
-
Shoreline
A dark beach at night. Waves run up the sand and drain away, Night City's neon glows across the bay and stretches over the water, and now and then something glows in the surf.
-
Bus Stop
A late-night bus stop seen from across the street, painted like an anime film. Long quiet stretches, buses that go by without stopping, and now and then one person who waits, checks the road and finally gets on.
-
One Sock
An unattended vending machine outside a closed laundromat at 4am. Stars overhead, a flickering light and an occasional cat. Every selection offers one sock. Never a pair.
-
Tennis Court
A singles match under the floodlights on grass, clay or a hard court, best of three sets with tiebreaks. The ball flies with drag and spin and bounces the way each surface makes it, every shot is aimed rather than scripted, a cat paws at the fence trying to get in, and a raven sometimes perches on the umpire's chair.
-
Coffee Window
A window seat in a late-night cafe, with the neon street softly out of focus beyond the glass. Your coffee steams on the counter beside a daisy and a few books, you sip now and then, a little robot rises out of the counter to refill it, and sometimes a cat curls up to sleep.
-
Bonfire
A bonfire in a clearing deep in the mountains. Flames lick and lean in the wind, sparks drift up into the stars, smoke climbs above, and far away between the ridges a city glows while planes come and go.
How it works
- One seedA single random generator, seeded from the clock when the page opens, drives every choice.
- Independent timersEach kind of event waits a random gap, so the scene has bursts and lulls instead of a beat.
- Variation inside eventsSpeed, colour, size and duration come from continuous ranges. No two taxis are quite the same taxi.
- Slow driftSmooth noise shifts traffic, wind and mood over minutes, on top of the individual events.
